Cinema.

LADDER Theatre Ottapalam is a multiplex located at Ottapalam, Kerala, India. It was designed to give the users a space to immerse themselves into a story and to create a sense of escapism.The multiplex features three screens with a total seating capacity of over 800 seats.

The architectural design of LADDER Theatre, Ottapalam was minimally designed with materials and textures that spoke for itself .The facade of the building features a series of inclined planes that create a dynamic and visually appealing effect.

The interiors of the multiplex were designed with a focus on comfort and convenience.The screens are equipped with the latest audio-visual technology, and the seating was given to be spacious and comfortable. The multiplex  has a spacious lobby concession area, as well as ample parking space.

Overall, LADDER Theatre Ottapalam is a well-designed multiplex that offers a comfortable and convenient movie-watching experience. The architectural design of the building is both visually appealing and functional.

The Hub of Escapism

The theatre helps the audience to think, inspire and break barriers to connect them with the world of cinema. The design has an interior that is spacious and inviting. The lobby is decorated with framed cinematic posters and more.

The theatre features a Food court and commercial space at the ground floor, a snack bar on the second floor and 3 theatre halls on the third floor thus providing
a complete experience of leisure and amusement to it's patrons.

Modern Design.

The theatre's were provided with interiors to provide a dramatic feel to the space with the help of ambient lighting.The beige floor of carpet and epoxy helped in providing the space the much needed break from the drama .

Aluminium Louvres with puff sandwich panel sheet create a very aesthetic exterior

Eyecatching interiors.

The glass provided on the exterior space does give a peek of the luxury and leisure of the interiors.

The theatres are all equipped with state-of-the-art projection and sound systems that offers comfortable seating for all patrons. The well designed and comfortable cinema theatre thus provide a great feel and a place for its users to enjoy the latest films.

The memorial is juxtaposed next to Thakazhi’s house in Alleppey, Kerala, India. The spaces of the memorial have been thematically limited using boundaries influenced by the elements taken from his novels. The architecture reflects his ideology with the humble use of traditional methods of construction.

The memorial stands in poignant juxtaposition to Thakazhi's house in the picturesque locale of Alleppey, Kerala, India. Positioned in proximity to his residence, the memorial's spaces are thoughtfully defined, each encapsulating a thematic essence derived from the rich tapestry of elements found in Thakazhi's novels.

The temple is built in the traditional Kerala style architecture, with a sloping roof and a central courtyard. The walls are made of brick and mortar, and the roof is covered with tiles. The temple is bound by a garden, which is home to a set of plants and trees.

The boundaries of the memorial are intricately influenced by the profound narratives woven by the literary maestro.The architectural embodiment of the memorial resonates with Thakazhi's ideology, embracing a humble and authentic expression through the implementation of traditional methods of construction. The use of indigenous building techniques not only pays homage to the cultural heritage of Kerala but also serves as a fitting tribute to the literary giant's connection with the roots of his storytelling.

Traditional Design

Through a unique combination of materals the old traditional factor was oincorporated into the design.

Contrast

A contrast was created in using the colour palette with the backwaters of alleppey.

The spaces within reflect the narrative boundaries he traversed in his novels, and the architecture, mirroring his ideologies, becomes a harmonious blend of cultural homage and literary reverence.

Residence Residence

The Residence has a colonial aesthetic that makes it very unique and at the same time a classic piece of architecture that is very distinctive in terms of the feel given to the user. The adaptive nature of the design with its colonial design can be traced throughout the entire residence and the site.

The landscape of the building is an interesting part that emphasizes the existence of different elements and features of the residential structure.This was achieved by the addition of distinctive textured and coloured plants of various species.

Schematic Design

The arches provide a great opportunity for the development of a Classical style facade which provides ample light and shadow to the structure thus creating a feature that will contribute to the aesthetics as well as a function at the same time.
