Beypore Tourism Project that helps to make the town of beyporewhich is a well prominent port and a major fishing harbour. This town as Tipu Sultan once fondly called 'Sultan Pattanam' is a prominent town of Calicut rich in its history. To bring back its shine and glory, the design made to revamp Beypore on its forefront is highly made in to make people enjoy the rich culture of the town.

 This project aims to create a public place which is well-used and well-loved, comfortable, varied and attractive. A place which bring in a sense of local ownership and in turn give back to the  society. Beypore as a locality, is also very distinctive, and offer variety in choice and fun.Vibrant places offer opportunities for meeting people, playing in the street and watching the world go by.

 

The visualization of " THE CURVED WALL"caters to other local amenities ,providing for the essential needs of people, both local and visitors. It also act as a cater to a safer environment, as part of the disaster management system.

Facilities.

The project makes Beypore seashore to be easily accessible and allows public to get integrated physically and visually with the surroundings. The vision helps to strike a balance between the natural and man made environment by Utilizing the rich and intrinsic resources of Beypore. The project is flexible enough to respond to future changes in use,lifestyle and demography.

Modern Design.

The development project is flexible enough to respond to future changes in use,lifestyle and demography. Beypore Marina can be the new face of the town and act as a cohesive solution to address all these needs to an iconic tourist destination with an international appeal. The Design avails to re-interpret the space as a futuristic tourist centre , and create a landmark, To develop the marina as river tourism along with the livelihood programme.

Revitalization of Thamarassery churam: The foot paths infront of the cantilever bridge is designed to offer pedestrains a safe route to enjoy the scene of the mountain ranges.

These bridges are designed to seamlessly blend with   natural environment enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal. The structure itself             becomes a work of art against the backdrop of the hairpin .

 The Cantilevered bridge is known for its stability to span along the curves to fulfill the requirements of people to enjoy the view while the requirement of parking was fulfilled around the same area.

Facilities.

The structure was build in a way that helps in proving more space by maintaining the view of the site,infact the sites view could be viewed more properly because of the structure.

The idea used in the designing of the space was mainly to maintain the holistic freshness of the site. but also to provide a space for the people to enjoy the view as well as get fresh air.

Design.

Through a unique combination of engineering, construction and design disciplines and expertise helped in providing the users a place to enjoy the scenic view that the place has to offer.

The Cantilevered structure often require fewer supports, that creates  less disturbance to the surrounding environment. In a hairpin turn, where the landscape may be difficult to navigate, minimizing the number of supports that can help preserve the natural surroundings.

The place was made for the users to get a great view that the site has to offer as well, serve the purpose of being a rest point. Serving both the structure provides the user everything that was lacking at the place which makes the revitalisation of the project complete.

ILLITHOTTAM

The project was created spanning over 100 acres of land with materials that not only mitigates the impact of building material industry but also, to develop a space that was sustainable to create a sense of native roots to the users .The ultimate aim was to create a place for experiencing the natural beauty of the site in a sustainable manner by using eco-friendly locally sourced materials .

The place was designed in such a way that the principal aim revolved around the use of eco friendly locally sourced materials,and the space was designed to highlight and promote traditionally crafted kerala style bamboo products Iit also helped in hiring local craftsmanship and to provide a livelihood for the locals as per the national rural employment generation scheme(NREGS).

Thoughtfully designed walkways meandered through the site, connecting different areas and creating a fluid circulation pattern. Along these paths, strategically placed activity nodes encouraged interaction and engagement, offering spaces for relaxation or spontaneous gatherings.

The project includes an entry plaza, walkways, activity nodes,restaurant, pavilions of seasons, bamboo craft village amphitheater raft jetty for kayaking river rafting and ample parking area.

Quietude in Design.

The pavilions of seasons showcased architectural structures designed to harmonize with each season's unique characteristics. These pavilions offered shelter and a sense of tranquility, encouraging visitors to appreciate and connect with the changing elements of nature.

The project successfully amalgamated elements of nature, recreation, culture, and culinary arts, creating a multifaceted destination.

Balancing Elements.

From the tranquility of the pavilions of seasons to the vibrancy of the craft village and the excitement of water-based activities, each component contributed to a rich and diverse experience.
This thoughtful integration of various elements aimed to cater a broad spectrum of interests, making the project a dynamic and inclusive space for visitors to explore and enjoy , at the same time inculcated the essence and importance of bamboo architecture.
